PRIVATE SESSIONS

Val Ravelle Pilates Instructor adjusts client posture

Book a 1:1 private session with me! You can either come to my home studio near Hexham and work out on the Reformer, Wundachair and Pilates Arc, or we can work together on Zoom to achieve your fitness and movement goals.

Whether you want to rehab an injury or a new hip, find exercises that will help you build bone density and combat osteoporosis, or just want a good old workout to strengthen your muscles and increase your range of movement, I can develop a Pilates programme that’s right for you and changes as you change.

Movement is fundamental to our happiness and well-being, and as we build strength, ease and freedom in the body, we reconnect with our enjoyment of life!

PILATES FOR NEUROLOGICAL CONDITIONS

I’ve completed Foundation and Advanced trainings with Mariska Breland and Meghann Koppele of The Neuro Studio, allowing me to offer Pilates-based sessions for those of you with neurological conditions such as MS, Parkinson’s, Stroke, Motor Neurone Disease, Cerebral Palsy and other brain injuries.

Using the unique Four Quadrant Stability Model developed by Meghann Koppele, we work together to help you regain and improve your quality of movement and improve your health and well-being.

We look at what’s going on for you – single-sided weakness, foot drop, balance, and gait are very common issues – and work to build strength, greater range of movement, and reflexive stability. I use a specially developed cueing system to allow the body and brain to speak to each other and re-map movement pathways for optimal mobility without overload.

I can work with you here in my home studio, using the reformer, Wundachair and other magical props and equipment, but if you can’t make it to the studio, I also work via Zoom and get great results!
