Val Ravelle Pilates takes your privacy seriously and will only use your personal information to administer your account. We do not and never will sell, rent or trade email lists or contact details with other companies, businesses or individuals for marketing purposes or profit.
However, in order for various elements of this website and service to work as they should, some information is collected. The below text explains what information is collected by Val Ravelle Pilates website, how it is used and how we comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The GDPR and your information

The GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) gives individuals greater rights over information that is collected about them. If you are interested in knowing more about your rights under the GDPR then the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) website gives a clear explanation https://ico.org.uk/

The GDPR gives individuals new and enhanced rights over their personal data. Some of the rights highlighted in the regulation are:
Explicit consent: Data subjects (you) must be informed about how their personal data will be processed. Organisations must make it as easy for data subjects to withdraw their consent as it is to grant it.

Right to access: At any point in time, the data subject (you) can ask the controller (Val Ravelle Pilates) what personal data is being stored or retained about you.

Right to be forgotten: The data subject can request the controller to remove their personal information from the controller’s systems.

We currently collect and process the following information

When users register on the Val Ravelle Pilates website, personal identifiers and characteristics such as names, contact email addresses, and telephone numbers are stored in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their own personal information at any time. The website administrator can also see and edit that information.

Before you attend a Pilates Session with Val Ravelle Pilates, I will also ask you to fill out and sign a health-related questionnaire and to sign a liability waiver. These may be in electronic or paper format.

Aside from log-in information for payment processing, personal information from the health questionnaire is gathered in order for Val Ravelle Pilates to

(1) assess whether the sessions are suitable for you based on information about your current health and any medical conditions, and
(2) enable the design and modification of personalised and group exercise programmes based on any health issues or any medical conditions you may have.

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful basis we rely on for processing this information is your consent. Please note that you are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting Val Ravelle Pilates at valravelle@live.co.uk

We keep your information securely stored, and retain it for as long as you continue to use Services provided by Val Ravelle Pilates. We will dispose of your information either on request, or if you no longer wish to continue Pilates sessions.
